The Proctor who treasures her role in upholding Cambridge’s age-old traditions

Graduations are joyous occasions. Among the University officials helping to uphold the traditions of important ceremonies is Karen Ottewell. The first person in her family to go to university, she studied German at St Andrew’s and Cambridge. In her ‘day job’, she directs a programme that supports international students.
